MERCI, the medical group under HelpIraq, hosted a fundraiser on Saturday July 12, 2015

MERCI, the medical group under HelpIraq, hosted a fundraiser on Saturday, July 12, 2015, at Farmington Manor, to benefit the 10 medical clinics established in Northern Iraq for the care of displaced refugees. The event provided entertainment which featured renowned singer, Saadoun Jaber: as well as an up-and-coming singer, Dani Kashat as the opening act.

The event drew over 350 people and raised almost $32,000; 100 percent of which will go to the ten clinics raised by MERCI across Northern Iraq, which provide medical assistance to all Iraqi refugees, including: Christians, Yazidis, and Muslims. The committee responsible for coordinating the event included:

3. Nahla Wadie-Salem DDS. The committee’s expectations were surpassed by the generosity of the attendees. Donors contributed both prior to, and even more during the event.
